             The Northern Saw-whet Owl is a small earless owl which is nocturnal, spending the day roosting quietly in dense foliage. They are extraordinarily tame and can be approached closely. This picture was taken  in the Perch Creek Nature Trail area.

    This is a great shot Bill. The face and eyes of the owl are quite compelling.
